Affiliate Wiz version 8 and
higher is now multilingual and supports 8 languages by
default. These include:
- English
- French
- Italian
- German
- Spanish
- Portuguese
- Dutch
- Norwegian

How do I modify the
text of an existing language file?
- The language files
are located in a folder called
Language. They are stored by name with
an XML extension. These include
English.xml, French.XML, Italian.xml,
German.xml, Spanish.xml, Portuguese.xml,
Dutch.xml, and Norwegian.xml
- These files can be
carefully modified. Only the text shown
in black can be modified. DO NOT modify
the item name.

How do I create and register a
custom language file?
- Duplicate a
copy of the English.xml file
located in the \Language folder
to a new file name. For
example, Russian.xml
- Translate the
text to the desired language.
Do not modify the text of the
item name.
- Once the file
has been saved, you must
register the file in the
AffiliateWiz database. The
table to modify is called
tblaff_Languages.

Open the
table and add a new row as shown
below:
- Save the
changes and the new language
choice will now appear within
Affiliate Wiz
Note: To select
the default language that is
pre-selected when logging into
AffiliateWiz, please visit the
Preferences/Setup area.

Note: Some languages require
that you change the Encoding at the beginning of the .XML
file. The default encoding is set to
encoding ="utf-8"
You can also set a default
language for each Affiliate Type, User and Affiliate so that
when affiliates and users login the language appears in
their desired format. |
